masterpiece-living-logoIntroducing Masterpiece Living: A Lifestyle Initiative

Peconic Landing is Long Island’s exclusive Masterpiece Living® community!

As you begin to think about retirement and planning for the future, we encourage you to reflect on your own life experiences and look for opportunities to enhance life at any age.

Research on successful aging shows that 70 percent of how we age is dependent on the lifestyle choices we make each day. At Peconic Landing, we are always looking for new opportunities and lifestyle choices for our members to explore. Our newest effort is embarking on a partnership with Masterpiece Living, an organization of health experts working to change the perceptions and experience of aging.

Masterpiece Living health experts have identified four components of life that they say have a direct impact on how we age. These components include the social, intellectual, physical, and spiritual aspects of life. Research shows that by engaging in the four components you will have a more fulfilled life.

Through our partnership with Masterpiece Living, Peconic Landing can gather and apply successful aging research from the MacArthur Foundation to our community and look for innovative ways to enhance life at Peconic Landing.

Living at Peconic Landing, our members have ample opportunity to live a full and rewarding lifestyle; whether it’s enjoying dinner with neighbors in our fine dining room, challenging their minds in our Lifetime Learning courses, meeting with our personal trainers, or connecting with your inner self while walking the miles of nature trails.

Through this new initiative, interested members will have an opportunity for self-discovery by helping them assess their successful aging journey. It’s a chance to reflect on the activities they enjoy and see what passions or interests they might like to explore.

We invite you to take advantage of the many events and happenings open to the public each month here at Peconic Landing, as things are always changing. It could be enjoying the theater, attending a lecture on environmental sustainability, or taking a tour of our Sculpture Garden. Visit our upcoming events page here.
