At Peconic Landing, we believe that physical, spiritual and emotional health are all intertwined. Shared educational experiences, social activities, artistic pursuits, cultural programs and fitness activities are all important in nurturing unity, happiness and vitality.

Lifetime Learning

Lifetime Learning, a community-based academic experience, offers opportunities not only to take classes, but to share knowledge on a particular subject with peers in a study group setting. Topics range from basic computer processing to the Arts of Japan to the energy crisis. The Lifetime Learning program received national accolades when it was invited to participate in Elderquest, a nationwide program sponsored by the University of Massachusetts, Boston, and partially funded by the National Endowment for the Humanities. In fact, Peconic Landing was one of only two community-based learning centers to be recognized without having an affiliation to a college or university. View the Lifetime Learning Catalog Fall 2017.

Clubs and Committees

Woven from members’ diverse interests, clubs and committees create a rich tapestry of activities at Peconic Landing. From the Environmental Club’s green initiatives to the Culinary Committee’s ongoing dialogue with members and the fine dining team, these groups provide a multitude of ways for you to get involved in the community. On the Move

We are a community of people on the move. Members and employees alike embrace an active lifestyle. We employ a trained physical fitness staff, and our fitness center and heated indoor pool are busy year-round. Tennis enthusiasts play on Har-Tru tennis courts, and Island’s End golf club’s waterfront course is right next door for members of Peconic Landing to enjoy.

A wide range of other fitness options are available, from walking the beach or one of the many trails throughout Peconic Landing’s 144-acre campus to taking fitness and aerobics classes taught by our team of personal trainers.
