Peconic Landing’s “middle of everywhere” waterfront location is truly unique.
Nestled between a golf course and a vineyard, our 144-acre waterfront campus is located in Greenport on the North Fork of Long Island. Rated one of the top places to retire by Fortune Magazine, the region has evolved into a thriving wine country location while maintaining its rural charm.
The eastern tip of Long Island is known for its access to the best of both worlds – incredibly pristine natural beauty and tight-knit local communities that are in close proximity to Manhattan, the Hamptons and New England. Hampton Jitney provides bus service from Greenport to Manhattan several times each day, and the nearby Cross Sound Ferry is a link to New England. The Hamptons are two short, beautiful ferry rides away, and are also conveniently accessible by driving around near Riverhead.
Incorporated in 1848, the Village of Greenport has a vibrant downtown with a historic movie theater, a marina and a waterfront park with a restored carousel, ice-skating rink, and grassy amphitheater that, when in season, features musical and theatrical productions. You can explore quaint shops with friendly shopkeepers and unique offerings and then relax over a delicious meal at one of the many restaurants.
